Why Are We Doing This?
As the marketing director for Window Depot of Milwaukee it has been my job to track all of our lead sources, internet, TV commercials and our shows and events. As any other company does we have to work in our marketing cost into the cost for our project because we have to pay our marketing outlets.
After partnering with some bigger corporations that didn’t seem to care much about our success and instead just wanted to make sure they got paid, this started driving up our marketing cost. Instead of passing those costs on to our customers, I started trying to think of other ways for us to get our name out there without passing on huge cost to our customers.
I then thought of the idea of working with schools instead of large corporations, after all who wouldn’t rather see money going to a school. So as a result the Back to School Home Improvement Fundraiser was born. This benefits you because we are not only able to give money back to your school we are also able to pass on savings to you. We are able to keep our marketing cost down, passing the saving to our customers and giving back to our schools. Starting with St. Thomas More!
Why St. Thomas More High School:
Being an alumni myself of Thomas More High School class of 2003 I know how important my high school experience was for me in my formative years. Having come from a poorer family my parents also relied on scholarships and grants to help pay for my education. I have always been very grateful for being able to have gone to this school and how lucky I was to receive the education that I did. That is why when I first thought of the idea, the first school I wanted to contact was St. Thomas More High School. I am very excited for the chance to give something back to a school that has giving me so much.
