We use only cabinet-grade woodwork, which is pre-stained to match the color of the window panes. The woodwork is then firmly pinned, screwed, and glued into box units, creating corners that come together much more tightly without the use of filler or putty.
We start by removing the entire window and re-insulating the space between the window itself and the studs. This a step that unfortunately gets overlooked by many home builders nowadays. With a full frame install, there is no additional cost for the removal of rotted sills.
Full frame installs also allow for maximum glass exposure, which projects more natural sunlight and promotes better ventilation. Even better, this project can usually be completed in one day or less. The new woodwork itself is typically installed in 90 seconds or less for each window!
